New Patients: Get the Care You Need and Deserve
Welcome to A Step Up Podiatry, LLC in Manalapan Township, NJ! We are so glad you’ve decided to take a step in the right direction to take care of your foot and ankle health. Your feet are hard workers, and deserve the help they need to stay healthy, strong, and pain-free. We do understand, however, that going to a foot doctor—or any doctor at all—can be a challenging experience, especially when it’s your first time in an office. Our goal is to make taking care of your lower limbs and getting the help you need as painless and easy as possible.
Before Your Appointment
We know that, when you come to our office, you are in pain and possibly at your wits’ end. We want to make it as simple as possible for you to get the care you need. We’ve put electronic versions of our new patient paperwork here on the website for you. Before your appointment, download it, print it off, and fill it out to bring it with you. This will help speed up the check-in process.
Your First Visit
People need a podiatrist for different reasons. Sometimes your feet just need a little extra help to be more comfortable. Every day they support not only your standing body weight, but also the pressure of pushing off the ground to walk, run, jump, or do anything else that involves movement. Other times, shoes or natural biomechanics contribute to painful problems that leave you limping. You end up with issues that could easily be prevented and can certainly be fixed. Even sudden accidents can damage your feet.
Whatever brings you into our office, Sanjay Gandhi, DPM and our team are happy to help. When you first arrive, you’ll check in with our front desk. When everything is ready, we’ll take you back to an exam room, where you’ll meet our staff. We’ll use this time to get to know you and obtain important background information, like your medical history and a list of current medications. This is also a chance for you to tell use exactly what’s bothering your feet and ask any questions you may have. Sanjay Gandhi, DPM will then carefully examine your lower limbs to determine the source of your discomfort.
Payment, Insurance, and What to Expect
We accept a variety of insurances to cover medical costs. If you’re not sure we partner with your insurance provider, please call before your appointment to double-check. For anything not covered by insurance, including copays and deductibles, we accept multiple payment methods, such as cash, credit, and check. Please bring your insurance cards and a photo ID to your appointment so that we can properly bill your insurance when it applies.
We know that visiting a new doctor can be nerve-wracking, especially when you’re already in pain, but rest assured, we will do everything we can to make your visit easy and efficient.
